Designer and Producer for the ADA’s “Working with the Media: A Handbook for Members of the American Dietetic Association”
“Curt worked with the American Dietetic Association (now the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics) on a project that began as designing and arranging for printing of one ADA member handbook and by the end of the project had become three books—all of which had to be completed and printed at the same time. Curt handled every new wrinkle quickly and professionally, kept the various changes among the three books straight (no easy feat) and was instrumental in finding a printer and working with us to get the books printed on time and within budget.” —Tom Ryan, Senior Editorial Manager at American Dietetic Association
Editor and Designer for the Council on Credentialing in Pharmacy’s 38-page “Scope of Contemporary Pharmacy Practice: Roles, Responsibilities, and Functions of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians.”
Curt was contracted by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education to edit, design figures, and create a printable version of the CCP’s white paper, “Scope of Contemporary Pharmacy Practice: Roles, Responsibilities, and Functions of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians.” After the layout was completed and the PDF created and approved by all coordinating organizations, the client also requested a condensed version for publishing elsewhere, and finally an additional abstract.

Curt spent four months at McGraw-Hill as Senior Production Editor, being placed through the Creative Circle agency, and was going to be brought on board full time until departmental budgets were cut.
This was a great opportunity for Curt to experience first-hand how a large-scale educational publishing house handles high-volume editorial page production.
